Our
Protein ID service is designed for the identification of proteins from either a gel band which is cut from a native or denatured PAGE gel or from a purified protein purification method whereby the protein of interest is provided in an elution buffer or bound directly to an affinity capture bead. The soluble protein(s) is digested with trypsin (or other protease) to produce peptide fragments that are then analyzed with LC-MS/MS to compare with a species-specific protein databases for corresponding peptide/protein assignments.
How Can Lighthouse Proteomics Assist You With Your Research?
- Confirm identification of target protein(s) from activity purification scheme
- Identify target protein from by affinity capture with compound(s) of interest
You Provide: Purified protein in solution or on affinity beads, a gel slice
We Provide: Protein identifications from protease treated sample using high resolution LC-MS/MS technology
You Receive: A data package will be provided electronically in the form of an XLS result table(s) and a PowerPoint summary report. The data package is also accompanied with a consultation to review the results with you and address any questions you have about the analysis.
